Newsletters – March 2023

A few words from the principal…..

This month we are celebrating reading. We have kicked the month off by inviting all the parents to come read with their students and create fun arts and crafts. Thank you to all of those that came this week.

The month of March, grades will be competing against each other to see who can read the most books. 3rd and 4th grade students have access to an app called EPIC. This app will allow them to read a book each night. K-2 students will be able to read books, on their level, on the Reading World app. Even though I do enjoy going to the library, I love the fact that I can go online and read any book I want from the public library. Plus, this way I won’t turn the book in late. Spring Break is the perfect time to read the day away!

I am blessed to work with a caring staff that is always there for their students. Each month we get to celebrate one staff member’s achievements. That is just way too hard. For the month of January Ms. Cook and for February, Mrs. Nejvara.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

  • 3/10/23 – No School for students
  • 3/13- 3/17 Spirit Week
  • 3/20-3/24 Spring Break
  • 3/17 – all reenrollment forms due
  • Next Month State testing 3rd and 4th grade

Reenrollment forms have been sent home, along with bus forms for next year. Please fill them out and return them to the teacher, with a Proof of Residency (POR). The class with the most forms turned in (with POR) gets to pick their prize of choice.

April is State Testing month. Third grade will have their final chance to take their Reading Assessment. Fourth grade will take Reading, Math and Social Studies. I will send more information home closer to the first of April.

March 10th is National Awesome Day! Make sure to message your teacher and let them know how awesome they are.

“Thank you” to all parents for your support with getting your children to school
on time each day! Bus parents please make sure you are standing at the stop to
get your students on and off the bus.
