From the Desk of Mrs. Szych
Hello TPA Families!!
December is a short month, but there is a lot going on. At the Middle School we have a door decorating contest, spirit week, I-Ready testing, holiday parties, spelling bees, and more! We are also very busy planning for some exciting changes coming during second semester.
We’ve had a couple of staff adjustments over the last few weeks, and Ms. Kinnie is now teaching 7th and 8th grade Math. Remember…you can check your students’ grades anytime in PowerSchool. All students brought home instructions, but please let us know if you need help accessing grade.
I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season!
From the Desk of Mrs. Garcia
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Glitter, Little Debbie Christmas snacks, and jingle bells rocking around the Christmas tree.
The Lil Shoppe opened today for the students to shop. Gifts from $.50 to $10.00. I had fun shopping with the students today. You will be happy to know they tell me exactly what you like. Well sometimes they say you like slime and I redirect them.
Staff will take students shopping before school. A parent night is Thursday, December 8 from 3:45-5:30.
We are having a canned food drive and home essentials for different groups. Please send in any donations by Wednesday, December 14th . We are having a contest between the classes.
Please come enjoy the sounds of the holidays, Friday, December 16th starting at 9:30. Students can leave with their parents after the concert. A permission slip is being sent home next week for parents to sign if they are going to go home with you. I am trying to stop the long line we experienced at the awards ceremony.
K-2 please make sure you are using the Tinyivy app to have your students read nightly. They have access to an endless range of books, for free. No trip to the library or the chance of books being eaten by the dog. In my house the
cats eat the books.
Personally, I would like to thank all the parents for your patience with bussing and dismissal. I am talking with Rock Solid to make sure that they can plow the alley so you won’t get stuck in the snow during the winter.
I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.
