Career Exploration Program at Toledo Prep
Our Career Exploration Program inspires students to identify paths to future success and provides students with opportunities to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary for high school graduation and beyond. Students receive customized learning that matches their passions and interests with their career aspirations.

Here is a breakdown of what students experience as they progress through our Career Exploration Program. All students benefit from guest speakers, mentorships, and activities designed to promote career readiness.
Grade 5 – Students attend guest speaker events and participate in exploratory activities designed to determine their career interests & aptitudes.
Grade 6 – In addition to the activities that they can take advantage of in 5th grade, they also delve deeper into their career interests and choose CEP electives for 7th grade.
Grade 7 – Students take CEP electives and participate in multiple field trips throughout the year.
Grade 8 – Students receive hands-on training in their defined field of interest, including 120 hours of work study.
Toledo Prep’s new program offers a number of career concentrations that provide students with hands-on, real-world training and mentorships with leaders in our business community.
